Easter Surprises

This Easter was the best one ever! Our church has services Saturday nights and Sunday mornings, and we went to the Saturday one.  So we were driving home and went to get the mail, and we found an Easter egg in the mailbox! Then we drove up our driveway, and found another Easter egg on the windowsill! And then we walked through the house, found Easter eggs everywhere, and there were toys, books, and candies all over the coffee table. The Easter Bunny didn't come overnight, he came while we were at church! Here's a list (along with pictures) of what I got from the Easter Bunny:

I got a gift certificate to B-A-B-W and an adorable fish named Aruba.

I also got this beautiful outfit for my American Girl doll, Sarah, complete with underwear, a headband, and a pair of flip-flops.

 I got this candy,

and some books, a mini bible, and the most useful of all, the mousepad calendar for my laptop.

We also got the Barbie A Fairy Secret movie.

and I opened all my Easter eggs and in half of them there was money, so I ended up making $3.88.

Mommy said if nothing comes up, we can go to B-A-B-W and spend our gift cards next weekend!

I love Easter. Easter is special because Jesus rose from the dead, and this means that He is the son of God just like He said. So our sins are forgiven, and we are saved.

Love,

My Exciting News

I have some very exciting things to tell you! Before I tell you, raise your hand if you want to hear this.

I thought so.

Now, there is one big reason why this is so important. Please read this big reason:

1. I'm skipping third grade. I'm in second grade, but I'm doing third grade math, fifth grade spelling, fifth grade homework, and fourth grade reading. Next year, I will be in 4th grade.

BUT, my plans for when I get home, will never change.

A Daily Schedule For Second Grade Girls

I got this idea from my mommy. Her most popular post is A Daily Schedule For Stay At Home Moms. Moms, if you have daughters that are in second grade and ride the bus, please make sure they read this.

7:00 A.M. Get up, eat breakfast, get dressed, and watch T.V.

7:53 A.M.(or the time the bus picks you up at,) Go to the bus stop and go to school.

3:30 P.M.(or the time you get home,) Come home, do your homework, and treat yourself to a nice snack.

4:15 P.M. Make or play whatever you want for an hour until dinner time.

5:15 P.M. Eat dinner, have desert, clear the table, and sweep under the table.

7:45 P.M. Take a shower, brush teeth, brush hair, put on chapstick, and use the restroom.

8:45 P.M. It's been a long day. Time for bed!

I hope there's some girls out there who need and use this schedule, because it's very important to me!

My Perfect Money Spender Plan

Once at the library, I found a book about money. I read it and decided to start my own budget. So I saved and saved and saved and saved my money, and I've finally got myself about $200. And these are my perfect plans to spend it:

First, I earn my way to $250-$300 by spending my summer tutoring younger kids. Then, I save at least $15 in allowance. How am I going to spend it? I'm getting to that.

Okay, so I have two most favorite catalogues to buy from. Our monthly Build-A-Bear catalogue, and American Girl magazine. If I get to $250, these are my plans: I'll spend $50 on American Girl and $40 on Build-A-Bear. That leaves me with $160.

If I get to $300, these are my plans: I'll spend $50 on American Girl and $60 on Build-A-Bear. That leaves me with $190.

And if I just happen to make it to $310 (which I seriously doubt.), I'll do the same thing as I'll do with $300, except I'll end up with $200 in the end.

So those are my plans. And one more thing. A reader asked what my Derby car looked like, so here it is!

I designed my car to look like my Build-A-Bear, Pinky. Here she is!

Thanks for all the comments! I love hearing from you. Please be sure to come back and read my blog again!

My Birthday Plans....

Are AWESOME! I have plans for my own birthday and me and my little sister's joint party. ( Which I had to ask Cakie about.) Here are some paragraphs about these plans:

My personal birthday: Wake up and eat breakfast, DO NOT go to school because it's a Saturday, play some games with Cakie while D.J. naps, go to Happy Joe's for lunch, drive to the mall to go to Build-A-Bear Workshop, go ice-skating, get ice-cream, and then go home.

Our joint party: Go to the Children's Museum, play with friends for awhile, eat cake and ice-cream, open presents, play some more, say goodbye, and go home.

And those are my special plans. Please read again!

More Fun For Me!

I am so excited! Why am I excited, you ask? Here's how it works. I went to this Girl Scout thing where you build a car out of a block of wood and race it down a track called a Powder Puff Derby. Then they pick the three fastest cars to go to the regional competition, and I got chosen! SO, now I get to go to the regional Powder Puff Derby in June. YAY ME!

I'm also excited because my friend Cassie-Kay invited me to her house this Friday, and my friend Dakota is going to invite me some other Friday. So that's two Fridays I get to bring my teddy bear to school!

And one last thing. If you haven't seen my mommy's blog yet and want to, please click here.
